About the program:

Experience Turismo provides the students with an opportunity for personal enlightenment and development of a positive attitude toward people and surroundings so they would have a much clearer view of the world and be able to learn from journeys that they may experience in their life.

Hopefully, the routes we planned will peak the students thirst for knowledge and inspire them to experience the world on their own similar to the “Grand Tour” dating back to the 16th century.  The “Grand Tour” was a popular journey in the 19th century; it served as an education right of passage for young professionals.

Through journeys, young people can develop their worldly knowledge and experience various interpersonal interactions to better enable them to face this rapidly changing world in a mature fashion.

Students

Inheriting from the Grand Tour for this purpose, Experience Turismo is a two-week program for those students who have learned some Mandarin Chinese and are seeking to experience the Chinese culture for themselves.

As we have realized, many students who have taken Mandarin Chinese courses in school would like to apply what they have learned in real life situations instead of simply visiting the local tourist attractions when traveling abroad for school or vacationing on a trip organized by a travel agency. Those students expect real interaction with the local culture in addition to visiting tourist attractions so as to experience the vivid culture that they might have learned through textbooks.

Fit Sessions

Only those academic groups accompanied by a teacher may apply for the programs offered by Experience Turismo.  To ensure the best quality, each session would be limited to 20 students. Reon Education professionally organizes these customized sessions based on age group, Chinese language proficiency, and student expectations.  Reon Education arranges several Chinese language teachers proficient in English throughout the whole session and assigns other professionals to accompany the session participants.  The participant groups must apply for our sessions six months in advance to allow us sufficient time to organize the best journey possible.

Our two-week session will guide the students to the famous scenic spots around Taiwan.  It covers the National Palace Museum for its antique collections essential to the Chinese culture, Taipei 101 (the highest tower in the world), and the night markets and temples which are unique to the Asian culture.  However, these sessions will consist of more than just picture-taking opportunities.  In every scheduled trip, we will design the journey to incorporate assignments requiring the use of the Chinese language based on the students’ proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.  In addition to “visiting” the Chinese culture, the students will “experience” it by being touched deeply from the realistic interactions with the local cultures.

Accommodation

Due to the concerns for safety and comfort, we will arrange for a professional lodging center carefully selected to provide for all the students’ needs.  Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our students.  The accommodations will provide for clean attractive grounds, comfortable transportation, and environment large enough to support daily activities, and complete facilities.

Reon Education is committed to designing the sessions exclusively for schools and groups besides the Grand Tour.

We strongly believe that the purpose of education is to develop the courage in people to face new challenges and to build problem solving skills to prepare them for challenges and a better life ahead.
